South Carolina

“Beep beep” I hear the timer on my phone go off. I turn off the timer. The airplane ride that we were on took a long time because there was really bad weather coming our way and it was really bad. When we arrived at the condo. I was sooooooooooo tired from the airplane ride. When I first open the door, the cool breeze fills the room, it is so delightful to be back in the hot, summer breeze. I walk in the house and the first thing I do is go to my bedroom, throw my suitcase on the floor, and get on top of the bed and rest. After a few minutes of resting, I get out of bed and watch tv. I  love South Carolina because I love Pirates Voyage, going in the pool, the condo and seeing Bella.

            I love SC because I love Pirates Voyage.  Pirate’s Voyage is where you eat and watch a show performed by people. Getting a henna tattoo is a tradition I do because it reminds me of Pirates Voyage. When I am not there. I love bringing my favorite husky stuffed animal because I got it at Pirates Voyage and it is very special to me. I love having front row seats because you never miss one part of the show and you are the first people to have food. I love having my favorite blue drink because the moment it hits my mouth it tastes so good.

Another reason that I love SC is because I love the pool.

Playing tag with Claudia is really fun because she is a fast swimmer. I love swimming deep down to the 5 feet floor.  I love doing backflips and front flips underwater. When I don't have anything to do I have Dad throw me in the pool. Then, after that I soak my feet in the hot tub it is so relaxing. I love diving for ring hoops. It can be a lot of fun with my whole family in the water and splashing each other.

The third reason that I love SC is because I love the condo we stay in. I love the condo because I can just walk in put my put the suitcase in the room that I sleep and just can relax all day long. The condo has so many things related to South Carolina and its sunny beaches. There are so many fun things to do. Bella, my grandpa’s dog is at the condo, too. I love seeing her there. Bella is very gentle and kind. She cuddles with me and sleeps in my bed with me. Bella is always really happy to see me.

I just finished drinking my blue drink and I can't wait to go to see Bella or go to the pool. Instead of that maybe I should go back to the condo and watch Zombies, my new favorite movie. Well, who knows I think I might as well get tickets for Pirate’s Voyage online. Since I have to get to work on those tickets I should get the computer and start buying tickets . South Carolina can be so much fun I wonder what we will do the next time I am down  here in South Carolina with my family. I love South Carolina because I love Pirate’s Voyage, the pool, and the condo we stay at.

My Playroom

I sit down on a tall, brown chair in the corner of my playroom. I take a look around and notice the white walls. The carpet beneath my chair is a scratchy cyan carpet. I can hear my guinea pig squeaking for my intention. I feel relaxed, and ready to play. My favorite place to be is my playroom because, I get to spend time with my guinea pig, I get to play on my Xbox and I get to play non-electronic games.

My playroom is my favorite place because it’s where my guinea pig Nutella lives. It’s really fun to see what she is doing. For example, when she sees me, she runs to the edge of the cage waiting for me to feed her. She really is as cute as a button. I really love to see her excited when she sees me. When she sees me she runs over to the edge of her cage squeaking loudly to get my attention. She loves my attention and is always waiting to find out what I will feed her. Her favorite foods are lettuce and red peppers.

           

The second reason I love my playroom is that my Xbox is in there. I really love to play games while I spend time with my guinea pig. I love her attention, plus-I get to see what she does. It’s a win-win to play games and spend time with your pets. I also get to play unique/modified games I can’t play anywhere else in my house. I get to play a upgraded version of Minecraft that I can only play there in my house, and I get to play Fortnite, something I can only play on my computer in my room. I really love to play online games on my Xbox.

           

            The third reason I love my playroom is because I get to play non-screen games in there. I love to play on my half ping-pong half air-hockey table. It really does save room and is very fun. I used to play with my sister or my mom so we don’t really use it anymore. I also love to play pinball. I do play it more than my half ping-pong half air hockey table because it is one player and the ping pong/air hockey is only 2-player games. I also play pinball with my friends and we take turns. I really love the games because they test you on how good you are and how hard you’re trying. It’s also good because instead of playing Minecraft or some other game on my iPad/iPod, I can get up and exercise and still have fun.

I get up from my chair, my guinea pig asleep in her cage. I walk over to the Xbox and hit the off button. It turns off with its famous short off button melody. It reminds me of a warm summer's day. Then I reach over and turn the cable box off. I then sit back down on my couch, noticing how much I love my playroom. My favorite place to be is my playroom because, I get to spend time with my guinea pig, I get to play Xbox and I get to play non-electronic games.

My Cousin Anahita

      When my cousin came over to my house,we went upstairs to spy on my sister. As we quietly crept upstairs, she giggled, then giggled a little more, then I finally burst into laughter.  I love my cousin Anahita because she is funny, we share a lot in common, and I love going places with her.

      The first reason that I love my cousin is that she is funny. For example, Every time I do something, she laughs making it sound funny. When I am sad, she is the only one to make me feel better by saying something funny that happened to her or she tells me a joke. She holds her mouth like she can't hold in the laughter, then giggles, Then I just burst into laughter  And if we are trying to be quiet,  she will giggle causing me to burst into laughter.

      The second reason I love my cousin is that we share a lot in common. We both love minecraft. Sometimes we give each other advice about it. We both LOVE slime. (She was the one who introduced it to me).  We both love animals. Anahita actually has two guinea pigs, Ginger and Peaches. We sometimes do races with them to see who could get into the cage faster.

      The third reason that I love my cousin is that I love going places with her. When we go tubing in the summer, we always fall of laughing hysterically. The first time I went tubing, a rope was supposed to be attached to the tube, but my uncle accidentally threw the tube without the rope attached. We both died of laughter. When we go to the pool to swim, we love swimming in the deep end. we love to do the dodge ball at rock’n jump. We always had a good time wherever we went together.

    

We were close to opening the door, When Anahita started to giggle. I told her to stop, but then I started to giggle. Then we just burst into laughter.After we finally stopped our giggling and laughing we looked at each other for a split second, we just started laughing hysterically again.   I love my cousin Anahita because she is funny, we share a lot in common and I love going places with her.

Yuki 

Every afternoon, Yuki is waiting at the door when I get off the bus. He is wagging his tail so excitedly and happily. He is so playful at that time. He flops on the ground with loving and playful attention. I love Yuki because he is loving, playful, and cute.

       I love Yuki because he is loving. For example, he gets so happy and excited when he hears my bus stop at the top of my driveway. The way I know that he is excited and happy is because he flops on the floor and licks me and jumps around. Another way that Yuki is loving is that he nudges me in a cute way for loving attention. Lastly, he is loving because he is a good watch dog. He is a good watch dog because he barks at people walking up or down my street when it’s dark outside. These are some ways that Yuki shows he’s loving.

       I love Yuki because he is playful. For example, he plays with the other dogs at the dog park. I know this because he runs with the other dogs and sometimes nips at them and jumps on them, but in a gentle way. I know this because he has a smile on his face and he is panting when we have to leave the dog park. Another way Yuki is playful is he gets all jumpy and happy when he sees treats on the floor. Lastly, Yuki is playful because he runs and trots to me when he hears the sound of my hand reaching into the jar getting crunchy, delicious treats for him. Those are some ways Yuki shows that he is playful.

       I love Yuki because he is cute. For example, he begs for my food or some scraps with his tiny, bright puppy eyes. He sometimes waits patiently and when he gets bored he just offers his paw to me. Another way Yuki is cute is when he wants my attention. He flops on the ground very hard, but in a very cautious way. Yuki also jumps up and offers both of his paws for a treat to be given. He sometimes uses his adorable little puppy eyes for his cutest secret weapon! These are some ways Yuki shows he is cute.

       One afternoon, I came home from school. Yuki was waiting for me at the door because he heard my bus. Yuki was wagging his tail real fast and flopping around on the floor. I immediately pet him and started jumping around with him. I scratched him on his back right before his tail and I can tell that he is happy for me to be home. I think Yuki is the best pet for me because he is loving, playful, and cute!

  Bear Island

Splish, splosh! The mail boat bobs in the water.  Children are licking, eating or slurping ice cream or ice pops.  People start to climb up on the posts and stairs.  I take a glance at the 10 foot post and ask my dad to hoist me up. My legs are trembling as I try not to fall off the post.  I love Bear Island because of all the friends you can make, the mail dock / mail boat, and the places you can go!

          The first reason why I love Bear Island is because all the friends you can make. I made a life long friend named Grace in Bear Island.  When she and I are together the whole day becomes a long playdate.  We are still in touch now and will see each other soon.  When you make a friend on Bear Island they will be your friend forever.  Therefore, you never live crazy far away from them so you can see them a lot more on Bear Island than in your town.   You spend a lot of time with them and your parents will most likely become friends so they will probably make time to see each other again.

          The second reason that I love Bear Island is the mail dock/mail boat.  The name gives half of it away, the mail boat doesn’t just deliver mail, it also delivers ice cream, and souvenirs!  For example, they have icecream, ice cream sandwiches, ice pops, ice cream popsicles, Italian ice and more!  I love when the soothing ice cream melts in my mouth and smoothly trickles down my throat. I love the mail boat/ mail dock because of the post jump.  I love the post jump because it is very exciting and you get so refreshed when your body hits the water it feels like you are at the bottom of a waterfall! Therefore, the mail boat goes to almost every island on Lake Winnipesaukee!  So you can go visit a friend on say Blueberry Island or 6 mile island and Monday through Saturday the boat will be there, but sadly not forever.

The Pharaoh Gazette

Khufu usually known as Cheops originally Khnum-Khufu was an ancient Egyptian monarch who ruled during the 4th dynasty. Khufu was the second ruler of the 4th dynasty. He followed Pharaoh Sneferu on the throne. Khufu is generally accepted as having commissioned the Great Pyramid of Giza. It’s still unclear how long he ruled over Egypt because historically later documents deny each other and new sources are scarce. The Royal Canon of Turin from the 19th dynasty claims Khufu had 23 years of rule. The ancient historian Herodotus says 50 years.

       Khufu spent his life preparing for death because unlike us, Ancient Egyptians believed that you could take it with you. Khufu knew if his name was not forgotten he would live forever so he commissioned the biggest pyramid ever built. Khufu also knew eternity was a long time so he took a lot with him to the afterlife (the reason he did this is because Ancient Egyptians believed that you would face a series of tests in the afterlife.). No one knows what he took with him because his treasure has never been found even more amazing his body was never found.

Golden Retrievers

Golden retrievers have certain characteristics. They are playful, intelligent and generally calm. Golden retrievers can grow up to twenty-three to twenty-four inches tall. The colors they come in are dark golden, light golden, and really light golden. Male golden retrievers can weigh sixty-five to seventy-five pounds, while a female can weigh between fifty-five to sixty-five pounds. Golden retrievers can live to ten to eleven years. They love playing around with anybody or anything like a tennis ball. They are a good family dog and a great kid-friendly dog.

Romanian Culture

       There are many parts of Romanian culture. One part of Romania’s culture is to respect the elderly because of their wisdom.  Older people are viewed as wise since they have earned life experience. Romanians expect the most senior person, by age or position, to make decisions that are in the best interest in the group.

       Another part of Romanian culture is to have privacy. Romanians are formal and reserved with a strong need for privacy. Most Romanians do not trust a stranger readily, they are generally shy and quiet when you first meet. Once you develop a personal relationship, Romanians will open up slightly.

Family in Romania is important. Each member of the family has different roles and responsibilities. For example, the children are expected to feed the animals on the farm. If someone has a problem, he will tell a member of the family for help. The father is the head of the family.

Kissimmee, Florida

“Whoosh” the door opened to my condo in Kissimmee, Florida. I smelled the nice, fresh scent of the condo. I saw all of my toys in the bin. I felt so comfy and happy that I was at my condo again. I touched my sisters hand and started squeezing it because I was so excited but then I stopped because she told me to stop. I love Kissimmee, Florida because of the big shopping trip, the hot tub/pool, and the clubhouse/condo.

The first reason why I love Kissimmee, Florida is the big shopping trip. My sister and I get to go around the store together looking for fun stuff and yummy food. Also, I love the big shopping trip because my sister and I get to pick any kind of snack we want. We can even pick snacks that have lots of sugar because on vacations, we get to eat lots of sugar. Once I got to get a pack of cookies. In addition, I love the big shopping trip because my sister and I go all around and it's so fun to experience all of the cool things.  If we really like something we might be allowed to get it.

       My second reason why I love Kissimmee, Florida is the hot tub and the pool.  I love the pool/hot tub because of the handshake my family always does when we go in the hot tub. I feel so nice when I do it.  For the handshake we do kiss,high five and hug I love the hot tub and the pool is my sister and I always play this game when we are in the pool. How you play it is one goes outside of the pool and we have to jump make a pose and then jump in  Also, I love the hot tub and pool because I am able  to relax in the nice bubbling hot water. In addition,  in the hot tub it’s fun to watch all the people having a good time. One time this girl came in the hot tub with me and we started talking and we became good friends.                       

Another reason why I love Kissimmee, Florida is the club house because my sister and I always get to go in the arcade. One of the games is a claw machine with candy in it. It is so easy to get the candy out. I love the club house because my favorite channel on television is always on so I could just sit on the couch and watch television. Also, the cafe there is fun and because my sister and I get to share a soda, get fries and ice cream.

My last reason why I love Kissimmee, Florida is the condo.  The condo always has a nice scent. It’s like a breath of heaven when I’m breathing in the condo. Also, I love the condo because  lots of my toys are there. The first thing I do always when I go in the condo is play with my toys. I love play in with these blocks that are like Legos but they are bigger and I would always build a house out of them and put theses tiny Disney dolls in the house so  it looks like they live there.  Finally, I love the condo because most of my favorite movies are there, so I could just pick out a movie and put the DVD in and watch it. For instance, I love watching, "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" at the condo.

BEAGLES

All beagles share certain physical characteristics. Beagle fur is four different colors: brown/tan, black and white. Their height is between 13 to 15 inches. Their weight is under 20 pounds.  They shed only seasonally so you don't need to vacuum every day.  They live 10 to 15 years and possibly more. They like to bark a lot.

All beagles have a particular personality. Beagles are merry, friendly and curious. They need lots of exercise because they are energetic dogs. They’re good with kids and even other dogs. Beagles love to hunt so if you hate animals in your yard, a beagle will chase it off of your property (you will need a fence to keep your beagle safe).

The Life of Winston Churchill

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was born in November 30, 1874. He was Prime Minister of England, a writer, a soldier and a member of Parliament or MP. When he was growing up, he did not see his mother much but he did have a nanny who cared for him. When he was older, he went to a school that three Prime Ministers went to before him. Winston was a famous person in World War II as he was Prime Minister of England at the time!

The American Revolution 

There are many causes of the American Revolution.

American colonists didn’t like being ruled around by King George III. Colonists had no representation in Parliament, the British version of Congress. Parliament could pass laws affecting the American colonists even though none of the colonist voted. Parliament passed the Quartering Act in 1765.  The Quartering Act was when Parliament said that the British soldiers could stay in any private American home they wanted, and the people who were living in that home would have to feed them, too. Parliament also passed the Sugar Act in 1764.  The Sugar Act was when the British put a tax on sugar and things like that. Parliament passed the Stamp Act in 1765. The Stamp Act was when the Parliament put taxes on stuff like diplomas, contracts, newspapers, and even playing cards.  The Americans organized the Stamp Act Congress.  The Stamp Act Congress were a pretty rough group and they burned any stamped paper they could find.  Sadly, it did not work. Parliament passed the Stamp Act again in 1766.  Parliament passed the Townshend Act of 1767. The Townshend Act set taxes on imports like glass, paper, paint, lead, and tea.  It also allowed British soldiers to search any home for smuggled goods.  Parliament passed the Tea Act in 1773. The Tea Act said that colonists had to buy all their tea for England.  The Americans were really mad at the British so American decided to go to war.  This is how the big war (American Revolution) all got started!!!

BOWLING

   In bowling, you have to knock down as many pins as you can. Bowling is really cool. I like to use a rainbow ball. I enjoy eating snacks at the bowling alley, too. I love to eat Sour Patch Kids while bowling. I love bowling!

Bahamas

                                                 

Yum! The taste of fruit punch and coconut water trickles down my throat like a waterfall. I love laying on the beach and relaxing. The braids in my hair, the sounds of the water, and just talking with my family makes it the best. I went in the the water, diving for sea glass. I love swimming in all the pools. We stayed in two hotels, Atlantis and Sunrise Villas. We swam with dolphins and I touched one! The Bahamas is the place to go when you're in a need for a tropical vacation. The Bahamas is a tropical wonderland! I love the Bahamas because of the Sunrise Villas and Atlantis, the beautiful weather, and the exciting things you can do there!

I love the Bahamas because of the Sunrise Villas and Atlantis. In Atlantis, there are lots of water rides and pools. I love the Crazy River. It's very fun to go on! It has very exciting parts. It's so fun! I love the lazy river too, it’s very relaxing and just fun to go on! The beach is amazing! The light blue water is so clear you can see right through it, and the nice tan sand just makes it the best to go on the beach. I really love all the buildings. There are three hotel buildings and there are a lot of little buildings with four rooms to stay in in each little building. There are some little pits with sea animals. The Sunrise Villas had a big house and my family stayed in it. I even got my own room in it! There was a walkway that lead right to the beach! There were two pools! One with a very deep area and waterfall and one with a little cave, a waterfall  and an area where it was very shallow.

FRISBEE

                                                       

I throw a perfect pass down to my teammate down the field. He jumps and what a catch! Now we're ahead by one point. I make the pull and we get a defensive stop immediately. Then the recess bell rings.WE WON! I love Frisbee because you can play golf, Frisbee is in the Olympics and you can just play catch.

  

            The first reason I love Frisbee is because you can play a type of golf. This type of golf is called disc golf. You can work on your throw types like the chicken wing throw when you put it behind your back upside down and flick your wrist as you let go. You can also work on your accuracy, practicing this will help you in a game of ultimate Frisbee. You can get really competitive, It's really, really fun though. You have different types of discs for this like the driver, putter, fairway and mid-range discs.  Each helps you with a different range. Some discs don't fly as well as others after a certain amount of time.

             The second reason I love Frisbee is because it's in the Olympics. I love this because the USA wins lots of gold medals but the games tend to be very close. When they don't win a gold medal they tend to win bronze or silver. It's very exciting to watch. You don't normally find it on television but you can find it on YouTube. It is very competitive. It also looks really fun. The USA has a really good rivalry with Japan, the USA also has a rivalry with Canada. The Olympic Ultimate Frisbee is sure to be a thriller.

            The third reason I love Frisbee is because you can just play catch. This is good because you can bond with your family by talking. You can work on your throw types while you do this. You can also work on your catching abilities. This is amazing because you can bond with family and practice Frisbee at the same time. Once my family went outside for over an hour just talking about my basketball season while playing Frisbee. If you have spare time on your hands consider doing this. You can play catch no matter what your age is.

 I’m exhausted as we walk to the lunch room. This was the closest recess game we ever had. I still can’t get over how out of breath I am. What a workout! I love frisbee because you can play golf, it’s in the Olympics, and you can just play catch.

How to do a Back Walkover

First, get to a soft surface, next put your feet hip distance apart. Now, if you need it, get someone to spot you (which means to hold your back as you bend backwards). So, now bend back slowly until your hands fully hit the ground. Next, find your balance, and get your stronger leg (the one you normally  use to kick a soccer ball) and slowly kick one leg over at a time until you’re standing again. Just know it may take you a few tries but don’t get frustrated if you don’t get it the first time.

DIRT BIKE RIDING


“Dad, I’ll get the ramps,” I said to my dad. “You get the dirt bikes out of the garage.” Dad and I load the dirt bikes into the truck. Then we get the tie downs from underneath the seat. We tie the dirt bikes down and load the gear including the helmets, boots and gloves. I love dirt bike riding because it is fun, energizing and I love hanging out with my Dad.

I love dirt bike riding because it is fun. I really like it when I hit air. Hitting air is when you jump a dirt bike. It is really fun. Also, lt is  when you get on a track or a trail. One time my dad and I were in Thomaston, and a guy zoomed by. Then, my Dad and I went on the trail. 5 minutes later, I fell. My Dad asked if I was ok and I said yes and then my dad road my dirt bike up. It may seem like I got hurt but I didn’t. It somehow felt good laying down on the ground because I was so tired and my arms were like jello.

I love dirt bike riding because it is energizing.  For example, you have to be alert because you are driving and you can hit a tree. Then you can get really hurt. Also, when you get going, it is energizing because the air is going against you and you have to hold on so you don’t fall off.  In addition, it’s energizing because you can hit air. For instance, you are holding on so tight, it is like you’re holding on for dear life. You are actually holding more than 100lb! That a lot of pounds.

The final reason I love dirt bike riding is I get to spend time with my dad. I love going to Thomaston Dam because there is a trail. I love  when my dad teaches me how to wheelie. It is really hard and a little scary. I love spending time with my dad looking at dirt bikes. We look to  see what might be my next one. I will probably get another Yamaha but an older one that no one bought yet. It will probably be a little cheaper than a new one. When we looked at them last, they got a lot bigger for the cc that is how much power they have.  

I yell to my dad, “Dad, do you want me to put the ramps down?” We are unloading the dirt bikes from the truck. We just returned from Thomaston and had a great time dirt bike riding on a trail. We put the dirt bikes in to the garage in order to take good care of them. I love dirt bike riding because it's fun, energizing, and I love spending time with my dad.

Little Brick Building

                                           

                The warm muffin crumbed in my mouth, I was at Zumbuck's, a cafe and just took a nibble of my cinnamon muffin. It simply made my heart melt and my mouth water almost like it was begging for more! The smooth batter made me slouch in my chair and the crumbles of cinnamon soothed my anxious throat. After 3 delicious bites, I slurped the most wonderful chocolate milk I could ever imagine! It trickled down my throat like a waterfall! Everything was familiar, I have been going to Zumbuck's since I was the age of one. The dark green tables and chairs to college flags hanging from the ceiling, softly waving from the wind as a customer opens the door and quickly closing it not to let the cold air in! I love Zumbuck's because I’ve been going there since I was one, the cinnamon muffins are scrumptious and the chocolate milk is exceptional.

                The first reason I love Zumbuck's is because I have been going there since I was one. I am very comfortable there! I am comfortable there because the smell of coffee beans and tea fill the air forcing you to take a deep breath! Zumbuck's also feels very quaint, I think the dark green awning in the front makes it look extraordinary. And lastly it's also very cozy because all of the nice people who work there! When you walk in you always get a warm smile. You feel totally welcomed as the door slowly shuts behind you.

                Another reason I love Zumbuck's is because of the muffins. I adore their cinnamon muffins because of the crunchy cinnamon specs in the smooth batter! I also like them a

lot because of the soft, creamy swirls in the center. When I bite into it, I feel as if I just opened the most beautiful present in all the world. When you bite into the batter, it easily and gracefully goes in your mouth for you to enjoy every bite! As you hold it in your hands, you feel relaxed as you slowly walk to an empty table by the cold, frosted window. You can see one car after another as people walk their dogs and their cheeks glow like a cherry in the sun.

                Finally, I love Zumbuck's because of their glorious chocolate milk. It’s not too chocolaty or too sweet. The syrup is always perfectly blended with the milk. When you take a sip, it seems to bring me back to all my memories of when the sun soaked my arms at the beach or when I’m bundled on the couch watching a movie with a cup of hot cocoa warming my hands. It refreshes my dry, hoarse throat. After it trickles down your throat, you feel a rush of happiness and great joy!

I'm laughing with content as we leave the little brick building. My heart melts with joy while I finish the last of my chocolate milk. I jumped in the car and tightened my seat belt. As we drove  down the road I thought about the chocolate milk, the muffin, the familiar faces and objects. I look out the trunk window only to find the little cafe getting smaller and smaller in the distance as the car smoothly glides along the black, tar road.

Out of The Dust

The US Women’s Soccer Team had a problem they needed to solve. Their problem was that they didn’t have many supporters but they did have haters and they needed to fix that. When the 1999 World Cup was rolling in, the team had a talk with their coach. He said, “If we are going to win this year’s World Cup we are going to have to put the pedal to the medal, work really hard. I want all of you women to go home and train hard every day until you can’t anymore.” Coach DiCicco really wanted to win and he knew how so he did everything in his power to get to the gold trophy!

So when the World Cup got closer they were working so hard they came home panting every day. When the time came they were ready, they made it to the World Cup and they demolished the other teams and won the 1999 World Cup. They got to play some of the best soccer of their lives that tournament. They got the trophy and didn’t stop working hard. They had the Olympics to win. They came home with the gold but, yet again did not stop working hard.  After the 1999 World Cup and 2001 Olympics, they were actually showered with fans. They had solved their problem and all they had to do was work hard. This is what the team’s best player Mia Hamm said after all the commotion, “ Dreams definitely do come true!” she said.

The Patriots

The New England Patriots began play in 1960 as a member of the American Football League (AFL). The New England Patriots used to be called the Boston Patriots. In 1970, the Patriots entered the National Football League (NFL). The team changed their name to New England Patriots in 1971.  The New England Patriots head coach is Bill Belichick. Some of the Patriots best players are Tom Brady, quarterback (QB), Julian Edelman, wide receiver (WR) and Rob Gronkowski, tight end.  The owner of the Patriots is Robert Kraft.

The patriots went to the Super Bowl 10 times, 8 of them since the arrival of coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. The Patriots won 5 Super Bowls. They were in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015 and 2017. In the 2017 Super Bowl, the Patriots made the biggest comeback win in NFL history. Also, it was the first Super Bowl to go into overtime.

The Patriots won 15 AFC East titles in 17 seasons since 2001, without a losing season in that period. The franchise set records, including most wins in a 10-year period (126, in 2003-2012). In 2007, they won an undefeated 16 game regular season.
