Chapter 1: Paul’s Childhood
Paul Revere’s life was a lot different than a child’s life now. There was many
responsibilities and challenges he faced as a kid. Paul was born around 1735. He had
eight siblings. That's a lot of kids! His father was a silversmith. He made things out of
gold and silver, witch than he sold for money to support his family. His mother stayed
at home and worked by making food for the family, cleaning, making clothes for the
children and feeding their cattle. His family lived by a harbor on a street called Fish
Street. Before Paul could go to school, he would always go outside and watch boats that
came into the docks near by, bringing food, clothes and gold from different countries.
Paul was also full of energy. He would always be swimming, riding horses, and playing
with his friends. Paul had dark brown hair, and brown eyes, just like his father. Everyone
could always tell that he was related to his father, including strangers. They both had very
similar characteristics. As Paul got older, he needed to be educated. He went to a school
called North Writing school to learn to become a craftsman for the future. After his school
sessions ended, his father taught him how to be a silversmith. After about 7 years of training,
he finally became a real silversmith.

Chapter 2: The Midnight Ride
and panic for times ahead. It wasn’t just a ride in the park, and it was definitely wasn’t a
ride you would want to take. Paul Revere was the message carrier. He carried messages for,
and from people. Everyone relied on him. He was the most honest, and trustworthy person
for the job. The best reason he was great for the job was he loved riding horses, and he was
very strong, and early tiered. But he liked all the tension and the excitement that went on
with the job, so he enjoyed himself often. He was also always ready to do his work.
Even at times he wouldn’t expect it. Unlike the midnight ride for instance, he knew that
he had to carry some message or do something for his colonies, like warning them, or
telling them where to go if the British were coming to fight. In the midnight ride,
Paul Revere's job was to get signaled by a friend that was standing in the tall steeple of
the Christ church, that told him when the British would be there, and therefore he would
ride to tell his colonies that the British were coming. And he did just that. On the night
of April 18-19, 1775 ,from Boston to Lexington. In regular cars that we have now, it would
be easy to ride from Boston to Lexington, but a horse would be 3 times as long of a ride as
a car! It’s like if you were riding a horse for hours on end! How would you feel if you had
to take that daring ride!

Chapter 3: Paul's other important jobs
For instance, being a silversmith. He made things out of medal, and sometimes gold.
In fact, he made the church bell for the town church. At first, it had a very revolting sound,
but the more he worked on it the better it became. Soon enough, it became the most beautiful
sounding bell the church had ever had. He also made spoons, forks and knives out of medal to
sell. But before he could make and sell anything, he had to learn it. He read all the books
about making things with medal, and wrote many letters to different famous silversmiths that
had more experience with the material. After lots of advice, and reading, he started making
simple things like spoons and forks. Another important job Paul had was the principle rider
for the Bostons safety committee. That was how he grew the idea of a lantern system to warn
the colony whenever there was a British invasion. Whenever the British made an unexpected
arrival, Paul revere would hold up 1 lantern if the British were on land, and 2 lanterns if they
were in boats in the ocean. If you were Paul, in that time period, do you think you would have
thought of the same plan?
As you know, Paul Revere made history by being in the famous midnight ride, was a
silversmith, a son of nine, and the principal rider of the Boston committee of safety in
Boston. With that in mind, he had a lot of responsibilities with all the important jobs he had
to take apart of. He was an inspiration to many people, and still is, but will always for his
