Fox

In the book, Fox, I believe that Fox represents DANGER.
In the beginning of Fox, there is danger  when Dog was running through the hot ash. Hot ash shows that there is burning. This makes me realize there was fire in the forest where they live. Dog was running with Magpie in his mouth with a burnt wing. This shows that when Dog was was running through the forest fire, it showed danger right of the bat.

The  book described that Fox  had a rich red coat and haunted eyes. This represents that Fox is danger!  Fox is a stalker. I think this because he was listening in on every conversation. This also shows that Fox is lonely.

Then, the jealousy starts heating up. When Fox was listening in on every conversation, he felt more  lonely and like he didn’t have friends. He wanted Magpie to be his friend. I know this because he looked at Magpie’s burnt wing. He also said he would help her really fly. But, he lied. He took Magpie to the desert where he left her alone. He said this was how he felt.

Fox was a dangerous character. He was like fire and in the end, left Magpie alone in the hot desert.
