I Am an Alligator

I am an alligator

I wonder how deep the lakes are

I hear birds all day long

I see all the fish I try to catch but can’t

I want to catch the fish that I can’t catch

I am very sad

I pretend I am the best fish catcher

I feel hungry all the time

I touch the water very early in the morning

I understand I can’t catch everything

I say can I have a friend

I dream to be the best of all
