A Bad Time

“No, no, no, OHH! YES!” I exclaimed. The t.v remote was tightly gripped in my hand. I was on my hazelnut couch. It felt like heaven.
“Cel! Ave’s bus is going to come any minute!” It was my mom calling me.
“Coming!” I yelled back.
I raced outside. “Ave! You’re home.” The whole day has been boring without her I thought. “Do you want to play Mario Kart on the WII?” I questioned Ave.
“Sure, I guess. Homework will have to wait.” Ave responded with a grin. ”Are you ok?”

“Yes.” I replied. I slid open the door. I sprinted inside to set up the WII, while Avelina was taking her dear sweet time.  “Can you hurry up already!” I complained. “I call being Toad!”
          “Well, I’m Yoshi.” Ave yelled.

Of course, Ave got 1st and I got 2nd, but the game only gave a first place trophy for Ave. My heart sunk. That was the best place I got in all around, and I got NOTHING!
I felt my eyes shutting on me. I gave a great big yawn. I laid against the pillow. I heard the wood  floor creaking while my mom was heading towards me with my favorite snowy, fuzzy blanket with lavender flowers.

Three hours later, I woke up with noise surrounding me. My dog Cece was barking, Avelina was yelling my mom’s name.

“Hi! Did you have any headaches?” questioned my dad.

When he started talking about headaches, my ears started ringing. My eyes were making everything a blur. Now my head was hurting. It felt like it was throbbing. I was having trouble breathing. I was trying to explain the pain, it was impossible.

My dad yelled to my mom “Call 9-1-1.”

“Are you sure. Cant we just give her tylenol?”
“This is way too serious to just give her TYLENOL!” Argued my dad.

“Fine then!” yelled my mom.

When the ambulance arrived at my house, my mom and dad rushed like lightning to put me into the ambulance.
I heard the siren speeding through the highway. All the cars were pulling to the side of the highway. My mom, dad, and sister took off after us.
An hour later we arrived at the hospital. I was staring at the marble floor. It reminded me of a kitchen counter. My mom and dad were walking right beside me while my sister was as slow as a three-toed slug.  My parents finally wondered, “Where’s Ave?”
“So now you realize!” I complained, “You were too worried about me, which I think is pretty nice.”
I smirked. Ave finally reached the front desk. The nurse brought me to Room 7. Ave caught up to my mom and dad.  Then, the nurse said, “Can you please put on this robe?”
It was the ugliest robe in the world. It was a baby blue color with BROWN. I thought that was a terrible combination of colors. I took my time putting on the robe. I kept my clothes under because they were pajamas.
I came back with the robe on. It was super itchy. It felt like the roughest wool in the world.
The doctor said stuff that I thought was gibberish. “Blah blah blah blah, other doctor, blah blah blah, medicine, blah blah blah blah, I hope she feels ok.”
It felt like he was talking for hours! UGH! When can he stop talking? I thought.
“Bye now!” the doctor exclaimed.
“Bye! Thank you!” My mom yelled back.
“Today was a crazy day!” exclaimed my dad.
“Definitely!” I replied.
I was in the car staring out at the shining mandarin lights. What if this happens again? I questioned in my head.
“Cel, I’m glad you’re ok.” my mom whispered to me.

The End
