In My Mother’s Shoes...
I am Connie
I wonder when we will sell the house
I hear the kids running for a hug
I see them playing with each other
I want to keep them little forever
I am their caregiver
I pretend that they are still babies
I feel there soft hands and cheeks
I touch the memories of them laughing, in my hart
I understand that they might not stay little forever
I say, “ I love you,” when ever I see them
I dream that they will stay little
