Schools Should Ban Homework

          Sometimes in life, you might want to go to a party and have fun and then, you realize… you have all that homework. This is an important topic because homework can take away hours of your life. This is why I think all schools should ban homework. I understand that homework is evil.

Schools should ban homework because it takes up time. For example, the other day I was super excited because we started the invention convention. On the bus, I took out a pencil and started planning my invention. I started drawing all these inventions and suddenly realized that I had twelve pages of homework that were due the next day. I banged my head against the seat in front of me. Homework takes up time that you could be using having fun. For example, I still haven’t gotten anything done on my invention because of homework. Homework should be expelled.

         

          Another reason that schools should ban homework is that it has been proven that it doesn’t help. Researchers have studied kids that always do their homework and kids that don’t do their homework. The result was that there was no difference between people who do do their homework and people who don’t do their homework. So, that means homework doesn’t help.

          Finally, schools should ban homework because it causes stress. For example, once I was on the bus and I had forgotten to do a page of homework. I didn’t have a pen so I was stressed. I finally found a pen and I was rushing to do my homework, but I hadn’t finished it when I got off the bus. I was walking through the halls to my classroom while I was doing my homework. That is one way homework can cause stress and that is yet another reason of why schools should ban homework.

          Homework should be banned. Why do we need it anyway?  It doesn’t help. It causes stress and takes up time. In conclusion, homework should be forbidden.
